Mason General features a level four trauma designation emergency department that operates 24/7 and it is staffed by board certified emergency services physicians, emergency services trained nurses and staff. In addition, it also includes an intensive care unit that extends privacy to the most critical patients.
In 2013 MGH&FC celebrated the conclusion of its two-year Campus Renewal and Construction Project, which included a new 20,000 SF surgery wing, laboratory, and registration services area. The Renewal Project touched almost every part of the existing facility, with upgrades to the infrastructure and renovations and expansions to the Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging, The Birth Center, the Culinary and Nutrition Services Department, patient rooms, nurses’ stations, waiting rooms and other public use areas.
These improvements give MGH&FC the flexibility to respond to future changes in the delivery of local healthcare and assure our continued ability to provide high-quality services.
